Our Story: Born from a Need for Change
EFA International was founded by Russell in 2020, during the global lockdown, with a vision: to create humane, eco-friendly solutions for home and garden care.
The idea took root the moment Russell saw a rat run along his windowsill. Faced with the harsh options of traps and poisons, he felt deeply uncomfortable. A nature lover at heart, he questioned why pest control had to be cruel or toxic — and so, EFA International was born.

As the world slowed during lockdown, nature flourished. Russell saw first-hand how wildlife thrived without interference — and felt a calling to protect that delicate balance.
Driven by compassion, he set out to develop natural, humane pest control solutions that wouldn’t disrupt food chains or local ecosystems. This ethos — sustainability, compassion, and integrity — is now at the core of everything we do.

A Legacy of Passion and Dedication
The name ‘EFA International’ is a tribute to Russell’s late father, Don, a man who had his own passion in business and football.
In the 1980s, Don managed ESA International, a football agency that represented international players, including Mirandinha – the first Brazilian professional to play in England.
Russell strives to honour his father’s legacy of pioneering and vision through the phases EFA International’s journey.
